[Goombay Dance Band]
[Goombay Dance Band(굼베이 댄스 밴드)]는
독일 출신의 레게 팝 그룹이다. 80년대 초반 한국에서
[Sun Of Jamaica], [Eldorado] 그리고 [Rain]등을 연속해서
히트시키며 유럽 최고의 댄스 그룹으로 각광 받았었다.
밴드의 리더인[Oliver Bendt(올리버 벤트: 보컬, 본명 Jorg Knoch)]는
1946년 10월 29일
독일 [Brandenburg(브란덴부르크)] 주 [Potsdam(포츠담)] 출생으로
피아노와 바이올린등의 여러 악기를 배우면서
[München(뮌헨)]에서 성장하였고
영화 배우였던아버지의 영향으로
아역 배우로 몇 편의 독일 영화에 출연하기도 했다.
